Hello friends, today I will share an event with you that I was invited to last week, alongside some of my favorite Munich interior bloggers, Igor of Happy Interior Blog and Anette of Look! Pimp Your Room. 

As you might know, I am always on a mission to bring quality furniture and design classics into children’s rooms and when I received an invitation to the German flagship store opening of Vartian Carpets, I just had to attend !

Whenever I hear the word carpet, the first image that immediately pops into my mind are my grandmothers old oriental carpets… Vartian, an Austrian luxury carpet company is looking back on a long tradition of manufacturing gorgeous hand made carpets in their own workshops in Nepal, using traditional Nepalese techniques. However, they make carpets with a twist, as Armand J. Vartian, the creative mind behind the amazing designs was happy to showcase personally.

Their simply breathtaking, shockingly colorful carpet collection includes series like the Remixed Orientals, Urban Culture or Painters Paradise and they all truly reflect Vartian’s brave approach to contemporary design. To say that I loved what I  saw would really be the biggest understatement of all !

You only need to take a look at my favorite design above to see that Vartian’s unique oriental carpets would look stunning in any room but I would simply love to see more beautiful, high quality carpets and rugs in children’s rooms…
